RIP Steve.
He was always a personal hero of mine growing up. I imagine that to those of us who live and breathe tech, he will always be a personal hero and source of inspiration. To the rest of the world, may he be a shining example of how one man can make a difference.
To say that his passing is a profound loss is, to me at least, an understatement.

I hated every minute of training, but I said, “Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.”
Jetlagged and sick.
I miss everyone.
The past few weeks have been pretty awesome. It was great being surrounded by people so giving that you can feel the love coming from every direction. I’d almost forgotten what that was like. It made coming home to my life in LA that much more… kerplaughhh hahaha.
At this very moment I’m running a fever and awake because of jetlag. When you’ve been surrounded by love so consistently the ache due to it’s absence amplifies it greatly.
Don’t mind me… it’s just the fever talking. Ugh.

Truth
I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I’ve learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you’ll miss them when they’re gone from your life. I’ve learned that making a “living” is not the same thing as making a “life.” I’ve learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance. I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back. I’ve learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I’ve learned that even when I have pains, I don’t have to be one. I’ve learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back. I’ve learned that I still have a lot to learn. I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Went to the big casino over here and tried my luck at pai gow. The only winning I did were the affections of the two old ladies on both sides of me and the gay dealer who winked at me and told me to come back and sit in the spot in front of him after my break.
